New Indoor Track Opening Near Chicago!!

RC Hobby & Track will be opening it's new indoor track on July 1st. The track will be located at 2150 Touhy Avenue in Elk Grove Village Il. I got a chance to see this new track under construction and its looking good. The driver's platform is up, new paint on the walls and the ozite carpet is going down this week. I talked with Brian Rolnicki, the track owner, tonight and he informed me that the track software was ordered and should be here this week. The facility is 5,000 sq ft and the track will be 40' X 80' with 4 lanes of racing and an 8' wide straight and sweeper . They are using most of the area for the track and pits but will also have a Hobby Shop on location. Brian said he is planning on being open 7 days a week from "4:30 till whenever" and maybe during the days on the weekend. Here is a link to his site and a few pictures that I took:

A quick update on RC Hobby & Tracks progress. Erwin has the carpet glued in and we are now in the process of laying out the track. Arthur came up with a method for virtually seamless straghts to eliminate car damage. Banners are going up and software training and instalation will be on Tuesday. I encourage anyone who would like to see the track first hand to stop by. We should be there every evening this week from 8:00 pm till 11:00.( Pm me if you want to make sure that we will be there.
