hello everyone i have a question.
ive been tinkering with rc cars for about 8 years off and on and well ive seem to have run into something that i havent really messed with. I bought an old rc10gt (not the gt2) off an old friend and it is stripped besides the throttle servo, sterring servo and the tranny. i recently bought the O.S. 18cv-rx with the short crank shaft and pull start and well im having trouble figuring out everything im going to need to build the clutch/clutch bell assembly. can someone please give me a list of parts i will need to build the clutch for an rc10gt? thanks a million

interesting combination you're doing there bear. i'm not familiar with that conversion, but have you tried contacting associated or o.s? they might have some info for you. if not, see if jbourke can help.he's pretty much the top dawg here, near as i can tell.

I just sold that set up exactly, The parts you will need can be found at at Associateds web site here are the links for the Manual
http://aedownloads.com/downloads/manuals/tubgt_manuala.pdf
http://aedownloads.com/downloads/manuals/tubgt_manualb.pdf
http://aedownloads.com/downloads/manuals/tubgt_manualc.pdf (this one has the Info and part numbers for Clutch bell)
Heres the link to Tower hobbies parts listings for the RC10GT
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0005p?&I=ASCC0387&P=PU
you will need tower hobbies parts numbers
Tower# Part Name
LX3371 Clutch nut
LX3373 Clutch Bell
LX3370 Clutch Shoes
LX3379 Flywheele for pull start
LX3380 Associated Flywheel Collet & Spacer Washer
LX2826 Bearings for Clutch Bell (they say thier for the wheeles but they are used for the Clutch bell as well)
Hope that helps, you got yourself a nice little rig there I am wishing I wouldnt have sold mine. I am not happy with the new Ready to Run I bought from Duratrax. It looks nice and the car is solid but the Engine it came with is Junk and Duratrax wont do anything about it. But thats a story for another thread.

I actually used a T-Maxx Clutch/Flywheel when I did that same conversion. My LHS did not stock anything for the RC10GT, but had everything for the T-Maxx. It also has springs for the clutch shoes, which will save some wear on the shoes. It will also allow you to use larger clutchbells for more top speed.
