I have a Kyosho Vanning and a TT Silver Fox that still run. Working on updating them to Spektrum. The radio boxes are huge!

Anyone else?

I have a Tamiya Porche 936 (circa 1980), but it needs wheels to run and I can't find anything that will work so far.

I have a Kyosho 1/10 Wildcat that I bought new and built in 1984 I think. It is in pieces, waiting to be restored.

I have a Thunder Tiger 1/8 scale Challenger. Built around the same time I think. It has not been driven in years, but it is together and could be made to run. However, I also plan to restore that one.

Nice collection. Parts are hard to get here as well. Have had to make a few.

Yep, parts are an issue worldwide. I needed a spur gear for the transmission on the Challenger and I found one in Australia.

I still have a fully functioning Team Associated RC/10 from the early 80's with a 1st generation Novak electronic speed controller that did not support reverse, the original brushed motor that came with the car, and the original 6 cell 1200 mAH battery packs still work. I do not have pictures because the car is at my parents place in some closet in another state. The car saw some racing on a dirt oval track at the local hobby shop back in the day, but has mostly sat on a shelf for about 20 years. Kin of miss the old Tamiya Sand Rover though that car dies a painful death when a neighbor kid ran over it on a bicycle.

I have a Kyosho infernoDX. The engine still has compression, just a bad bearing. All the running gear is still in great shape & working. There isn't any electronics on it, if anyone is interested. I also have a LOSI XXT that has never even been completly built .
These two cars I bought from a gent when I was in Ariz. They were supposed to be for my 4 boy to learn with but was strongly advised not to do that.

I like this thread, I really enjoy looking at the older rc cars. I started doing rc back in 1986, my first car was a Tamiya Striker buggy. I still have several Tamiya cars but my favorite is my original Hotshot 2, that car has provided endless fun for me. To all the guy's that posted photo's thanks for sharing, I hope this thread stays active. rvpopham

I'm starting to mess with a Traxxas Bullet that a friend gave me about three weeks ago. It had no body but I have access to an old rustler body that I fitted with no trouble by making the front mount for it. Next thing I'm going to do is widen the stance abit using the rustler control arms and things without cutting the chassis any and box up the old parts to save for later when I decide to put it back to stock...

Well I managed to get the old Traxxas Bullet converted over to rustler suspension and body and it looks good. But while I was out today messing with it I had an idea....:) I had a Eflite six series 2000kv brushless motor just begging to go on this old car and a esc out of one of my planes to go with it...:D Man talk about waking something up, that motor with a 14 tooth pinion and the stock factory gearing on a 3s lipo had the car pulling the front wheels off the ground and not setting them down until I let of the throttle!!!! All I can hope for now is that that strong of a motor doesn't cause something to break like the output shafts from the tranny... I think I'm going to put a 23 tooth pinion on it and see what kind of speed I can get out of it...

ok guys these are some cool rides. but im going to top my madbull and super fighter g. this is the crusher by a company called royal. this company went out of bussiness back in the 80's. i have the raideo that comes with this beast. these are a couple pics i have taken to show you guys. this truck is not running as of now. we drove this truck 2 weeks ago. and decided to restore it. so here is what we have to work with.

this is a 1/10 scale monster truck. it has 4 wheel steer like a clod. but we have the back steering locked out cause of a broken part we cant replace. but the part search is on going. if any or you know any thing about these rare trucks please lets us here at OPEN CLASS RC (OCR) know. thanks alot and enjoy the pics!!!!!
