I am going to be racing an associated rc10 t3. I will mostly be racing stock class but will probably race some mod. What kind of batteries should i use. I was thinking some kind of 3000. Would a 3300 make that big of a difference. Let me know what size and what brand.

I think 3000's will be okay for what you'll be doing, the 3300's just came out, and they're a little on the expensive side. You also have a choice of matched or unmatched packs. Matched ones will be a little more expensive but they will perform better as far as punch and run time are concerned. I would probably stick with Sanyos if you're using 3000's, there's nothing wrong with the Panasonic ones, but Panasonic cells since the P-170s have a tendancy to be sensitive to things like voltage thresholds on chargers and current rates. If you plan on doing a little to an average amount of stock or mod racing with your T3, and want to save a few bucks, unmatched ones will be ok. However, if you plan on getting serious racewise either now or in the near future or become a regular in mod, go matched or give the 3300 matched/unmatched cells a look. I've heard mixed reactions from racers about the new cells, anything from "not a big enough difference considering the money spent" to "just flat out go for it!"
BTW: If you plan on using 3300's at any NORRCA sanctioned gigs I don't believe they are legal until the first of the year.

I was also wondering what battery to be using. I have off road buggy, and all I do is bash around through the grass and everywhere else. What MAH battery should I be using. Would a 2000 Mah battery from Radio shack work? How long run time could I get off the battery?
Thanks for any advice

I am not sure about the radia shack batteries but i used to use 1700 Mah batteries from the hobby shop to bash around and i would say they lasted atleast a good 10 to 15 minutes so a 2000 Mah battery would be fine.

Thank you
So maybe not get a radio shack brand, but get from another brand like duratrax, sanyo or trinity? How much longer would a 2400 last, instead a 2000?
Thanks

the 2400s will probably last a couple minutes longer, depending on the motor and how the batteries are charged. I would use the stick packs from duratrax or Orion. I use the Orion 2400 Rocket Packs and they seem to work decent for me when running stock motors, and their a pretty good price too.
