Looking to get into RC

I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction where I can learn about RC and find out where I can buy build etc, I was wanting to get into the hobby. I used to love the chaep RC cars from Radio Shack but now that I am grown up I want to play with the big boys ;)

So I need sites with good info about all things RC, any help would be appreciated. I live in Tulsa, OK. I know there a a few shops around here but I woudl rather get knowledgable on here before I go in asking questions.

Welcome to the board, this is maybe the best place to ask and get answers to questions. The next best is at the local track.

You did not state which kind of RC you are interested in, on-road, off-road, car, truck, nitro or electric.

There are some tracks in the T town area, one in Enid, and two soon to be three in OKC. If you are interested in racing then a good course of action is to go to your local track and see what others are running. Don't be afraid to ask questions, most all of the good guys will willing answer questions no matter how dumb they may seem. If you get the cold shoulder from someone it's because they don't know the answer or are just anti-social (you know a butt head). I would avoid taking any of their other answers with any kind of creditability.

If you get to OKC on a saturday after noon I will be at Compitition RC on SW 89 just west of I35, come see me and I will answer any questions I can.
